● About
Founded in March 1976, the Rozelle-Annesdale Area Association works to preserve and strengthen one of Memphis’s oldest and most diverse neighborhoods. Our roots reach back to the 1830s, beginning with Solomon Rozelle’s 803-acre land purchase that helped shape Midtown Memphis, and Eli Rayner’s 1853 Greek Revival manor, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The neighborhood is home to cherished landmarks like Rozelle Elementary, a historic school established in 1918 and recognized as an arts honor school. Its students have performed at renowned venues including the United Nations and alongside the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.
Today, our association honors this rich history while building connections, nurturing creativity, and working toward a vibrant future for generations to come.
